SOUTH BEND, Ind.– Some coronavirus restrictions are being lifted at the University of Notre Dame.

Starting Wednesday April 21, students who do not live in the same residence halls will now be allowed to socialize in each hall’s common spaces.

Masks are still required indoors with a size limit of 10 people. Students do not need to wear a mask when walking between classes, when sitting informally on the lawns or quads, or when they are running with others on campus. If a campus staff member tells a student to wear a mask for any reason, however, they must comply.

The maximum number at informal gatherings outdoors is increased from 10 to 25.

More than 90% of Notre Dame students have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine. Most students were vaccinated through the on-campus clinic.
