Snow on Thursday Won’t Be Anything Like Monday’s Snow, says WISH-TV Meteorologist
INDIANAPOLIS–When snow arrives later this week, it won’t be nearly as heavy as what fell earlier in the week, says WISH-TV meteorologist Randy Ollis.
“The snow on Thursday will be nothing like the snow during the day on Monday,” said Ollis. “It looks like on Thursday, with our next storm, we may squeeze out an inch or two of snow, especially over the central and southern parts of the state.”
Ollis believes Thursday should not be a big “snowmaker.”
“On Wednesday afternoon or evening, there might be a few flurries or snow showers. That really should not be a big deal. We’re not looking for any big accumulations,” said Ollis. “If we do pick up a couple of inches of snow, that would occur starting Thursday or into Thursday afternoon and should taper off Thursday night.”
Temperatures will also warm up.
“Some dry, cold weather will come in on Friday. By the weekend, warmer weather will return and we could be seeing temperatures above the freezing mark by Sunday. That could continue into the early part of next week,” said Ollis. “Saturday looks to be dry and cold. On Sunday, we may see a mixture of rain, snow, and maybe a little freezing rain early. I think it will change over to all rain Sunday into early Monday.”
Throughout the weekend, Ollis says that “cold, arctic air” will disappear with “milder, pacific air” showing up in the next week or so.
