A lot of people are talking about Joe Biden’s appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Thursday night. In particular, the media is focusing on Biden’s answer after being asked about Hunter Biden and the accusations towards his son.

Biden said he has “great confidence” in his son and the accusations made is “foul play.”  His wife Jill appeared alongside him.

Tony argues this isn’t the part of the interview to focus on, rather we should draw our attention to Colbert. How Colbert phrased the question was not only pandering, but hypocritical.

Colbert asks-

As much as you don’t want it to happen, you know that the people who want to make hay in Washington are going to try to use your adult son as a cudgel against you.  How do you feel about that and what do you say to these people?

Essentially he’s asking how the President-elect feels about people picking on his son. *Flashback to the hundreds of jokes the Late Night Show host made about Donald Trump Jr.

I share this story with you because it’s important to know how these things come about. – Tony Katz
