INDIANAPOLIS — Get ready to pack your car with family and friends and head to central Indiana’s largest synchronized light show!

Christmas Nights of Lights is returning to the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center.

The dazzling drive-thru light display will be open from dusk until 10 p.m., with extended weekend hours, from Nov. 13 through Jan. 3.

The event features a 2-mile car ride through more than one million LED lights synchronized to Christmas music. Decorations include larger-than-life trees, glowing snowflakes, dancing candy canes, and tunnels of lights. Guests can tune their radio dial to a dedicated signal and sing along to the sounds of the season synchronized to holiday lights.

The display will go on rain, snow, or shine every evening, including holidays.

Cost is $7 per person and children 3-years-old and under are free. A “Carload Special” of up to seven passengers is $30, 10-15 passengers is $50, 16-35 passengers is $75, and 36+ passengers is $100.

Cash and credit cards are accepted at the gate. Tickets may also be purchased online.

Benefitting from a portion of the event’s proceeds are The Arthritis Foundation, Toys for Tots, and Gleaners Food Banks’ Pack the Pantries.

Tips for Attending Christmas Nights of Lights

  • Avoid the lines, plan your visit early in the season or on a weekday. If you want to visit on a weekend, try arriving after 9 p.m. Any cars still in line at time of closing WILL be permitted to enter and enjoy the show.
  • Make a quick stop at the portable toilets at the beginning of the show.
  • Know how to turn off your headlights — Google how to do this in advance, if needed.
  • Tour buses with more than a 35-person capacity or limos will not be admitted, as those vehicles are unable to drive safely through the show. Vehicles over 11’ tall will not be able to access the light show, due to height restrictions at the entrance.
