BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The coronavirus isn’t keeping students at Indiana University from partying.

A twitter video showed at least a hundred students packed onto a lawn outside a house for a party on Wednesday. The video is too far away to see if students are wearing masks or not.

IU has responded saying:

“We are aware of this situation and are actively investigating. Today, we will identify participants and hand down suspensions. This gathering violated city and county regulation as well as our own guidelines and endangered the health of the IU community.”

In IU’s policies for coronavirus, it says if students fail or refuse to comply with the health and safety directives used by the university they can face suspension or expulsion.

On Wednesday, Purdue University told its students they could be expelled for not following their guidelines. As of Thursday, they suspended 36 students for violating those guidelines.
