INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State Police are looking for the driver of a car seen near where Dreasjon Reed was shot and killed by an Indy Metro Police officer back in May.

Troopers say they want to find the driver and any people who were inside the car near the intersection of 62nd Street and Michigan Road at around 6:00 on May 6, 2020. That’s roughly the same time police chased Reed into that area and he was shot soon after.

They say it was an SUV but have not said much more about the description of the vehicle.

The lawyer for Reed’s family is also encouraging the people who were in this vehicle to come forward and tell investigators what they saw.

“The Law Firm of Fatima Johnson strongly encourages this potential witness as well as all potential witnesses to come forward with information. Their assistance in providing justice for the family of Dreasjon Reed is greatly appreciated,” the law firm said in a statement.
