Rep. Ilhan Omar just called for the dismantling of all economic and political systems in the United States that serve as a “system of oppression.”
Presumably, this dismantling of systems would include the very political system that allowed her to enter the halls of Congress as a U.S. representative. And, of course, the economic dismantling would no doubt encompass the system from which she paid her husband – lucky number 3 – $878K in consulting fees.
“We can’t stop at criminal justice reform or policing reform,” Omar said during an outdoor press conference Tuesday. “We are not merely fighting to tear down the systems of oppression in the criminal justice system. We are fighting to tear down systems of oppression that exist in housing, in education, in health care, in employment, [and] in the air we breathe.”
Editor’s Note: Okay. Any moment now I’m expecting Rep. Ilhan Omar to pull a mask off herself ala “Mission Impossible” and reveal that’s she’s Andy Kauffman, back from beyond. There can be no other explanation for the performance art masterpiece that is this controversial Minnesota Congresswoman.
Omar said it was time to “guarantee homes for all” due to racial disparities in homeownership.

Omar said she also promoted the Green New Deal “because we know that environmental racism is real.”

“As long as our economy and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate this inequality,” said. “So we cannot stop at [the] criminal justice system. We must begin the work of dismantling the whole system of oppression wherever we find it.”
