WHITE COUNTY, Ind. — Six employees at the White County courthouse have the coronavirus.

WLFI says the announcement was made Tuesday in the White County Commissioners’ local disaster emergency declaration. Other employees are also awaiting test results after they showed symptoms of the virus.

All of those employees are now self-quarantining at home.

The White County government website says the courthouse building was deep cleaned on May 21, and assures everyone they are doing everything to slow the spread.

According to the Indiana State Department of Health, there are at least 228 positive cases of the coronavirus in White County, and eight people there have died from it.
