INDIANAPOLIS--Three people were arrested during a situation involving IMPD’s SWAT team on the south side of Indianapolis Monday morning.
It happened on Draper Street, near Troy Avenue and I-65 around 12:45 am.
Police say SWAT was called in on a report of a woman being shot. She was taken to Eskenazi Hospital and is expected to be okay. She told officers where the shooting happened.
When the SWAT team arrived, two men surrendered. Another woman decided to stay inside.
The officers told her repeatedly to come out of the house. When she did not, they went into the home and took her into custody.
Police think they have a lead on the suspect who shot the woman and are looking for the shooter.
The incident remains under investigation. It ended about 2:50 am Monday morning.
