Governor Holcomb has made a proposal to improve school safety by offering one metal detector for 250 kids in every school corporation across the state. Rob Kendall is fuming after seeing this proposal. He hopped on with Hammer and Nigel to tear apart Gov. Holcomb and his proposal.

“I say this is clearly something put forward by someone who has no idea what he’s doing, doesn’t care about school safety so he says my response is going to through a lot of money then wash my hands of it and say ‘I did something!’”

Rob argues that the plan is a mess. He sites that the state previously said there was nothing in the budget for this, but now has suddenly found the funds. He then wonders how schools are going to handle it logistically.

“Who is going to be doing it? How are they going to be trained? How do we know they are doing it correctly? How are kids going to get into school? It’s a mess.”

Rob’s idea would be to give schools the ability to choose how they spend the funds on school security. What may work well for one school, may not be effective for another.
