Sarah Palin, John McCain’s presidential running mate in 2008, was allegedly not invited to the late senator’s funeral and memorial services.
A “Palin family source” later told NBC News’ Kelly O’Donnell that “out of respect to Senator McCain and his family we have nothing to add at this point. The Palin family will always cherish their friendship with the McCains and hold those memories dear.”
WIBC host Tony Katz considered the request from the late senator “petty.”
Katz:
“She’s the reason he didn’t win in 2008? No, no; she’s the only reason people voted for him in 2008. You can say whatever you want. You wanna talk about media attacks? No one ever took the abuse that Sarah Palin took. No one. No one got more savaged, more ruined, more destroyed, was completely well within the line, and now she’s the one who isn’t good enough to show?
I say it’s petty.”
