AUDIO: One Man Dies in Sheridan Crash Thursday Morning

SHERIDAN, Ind.–A man was killed in a crash Thursday morning in Sheridan.
Public Information Officer Bryan Melton with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened just before 9 am on East First Street and S. Georgia Street.
“The Sheridan Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle. During the pursuit, Sheridan PD temporarily lost sight of the vehicle and then they located the vehicle crashed in Veteran’s Park,” said Melton.
Melton says they went up to check on the driver.
“They immediately rendered aid to the driver, but the driver passed away from injuries sustained in the crash,” said Melton.
The driver who died has been identified as 19-year-old Dominic Fajardo. He was in a GMC Chevy pickup.
Police are looking for any help they can get from the public on this case.
