Trump Urges Residents of Tehran To Evacuate Immediately

President Donald Trump posted a message on his social media site on Monday urging residents of Tehran to evacuate immediately as he lamented Iran’s decision not to sign an agreement with the United States limiting its nuclear program.
“Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”
Earlier in the day, Israeli officials had urged hundreds of thousands of people in the Iranian capital to evacuate ahead of strikes in its escalating military campaign against Iran. Tehran has a population of nearly 10 million people.
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has expressed concern over the conflict and has urged Trump to continue working toward peace with Iran, saying he is “really afraid” that the United States could be “weakened” if it gets further involved in the Middle Eastern conflict.
“I think we’re going to see end of American empire, obviously other nations would like to see that and this is a perfect way to scuttle the USS America on the shoals of Iran, but it’s also going to end, I believe, Trump’s presidency,” Carlson explained on Steve Bannon’s War Room. “Effectively end it, and so that’s why I’m saying this.”
When asked by reporters what he thought of Carlson’s comments, Trump responded “I don’t know what Tucker Carlson is saying. Let him go get a television network and say it so that people listen.”
