Is it just us, or did socialist and 2020 democratic candidate for president Bernie Sanders seem a little fussy during Tuesday night’s debate?
Sen. Sanders had several meme-worthy moments last night, but it was his ‘I wrote the damn bill’ tirade amid a discussion on “Medicare for All” that really caught fire with social media warriors on both sides of the political aisle.
Right off the bat, Sanders succinctly responded to the charge from former Rep. John Delaney of Maryland that running on a government-run, single-payer health care system that would eliminate the private insurance currently held by some 150 million Americans would help “get Trump re-elected.”
“You’re wrong,” Sanders shot back.
Minutes later, Sanders punched back at Rep. Tim Ryan of Ohio – who claimed the senator from Vermont didn’t really know “Medicare-for-all” would provide coverage better than the current plans Americans would lose if the country moved to a single-payer system.
“I do know. And I wrote the damn bill,” Sanders snapped.
Here’s the magical moment, “live and in living color!”
The Chicks on the Right had a field day with Sander’s comments about the healthcare industry and so-called ‘Big Pharma.’ COTR’s “Daisy” used to work in that industry, and she launched into a brilliant commentary on the topic with her co-host, “Mock” Wednesday morning.
