INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis woman will avoid jail time, after she stole over $100,000 from the company she used to work for.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office says Kyle Diane Fleece, who was the bookkeeper for Integrated Technology Resources, was charged with theft and pleaded guilty in August. As part of the plea deal, Fleece will serve one year of probation, and have to pay back the $157,507 she stole from the company.

Investigators say the company noticed in October 2018 that multiple checks had not been put into the company’s bank account. They found out that between May 2017 and July 2018, Fleece deposited a total of 33 checks issued to the company, into her personal account. She used the money for car payments, rent, and medical bills.
