BOONEVILLE, Ind. — In 2019 Donna Hatfield was living with her son Thomas Rainey, Jr., at her house on 1st St. in Booneville. Sometime around May or possibly June, she went missing. She hasn’t been seen since.

“Then on Aug. 26, 2019, my brother tells me that my mom, who was 72 years old, had died in a hospital,” said he daughter Shannon Martin, in a Friday press conference. “I contacted the Boonville Police Dept. immediately when I realized she was not at any of the hospitals.”

Hatfield’s possessions and meds were still in the house.

“At this point there is no evidence to suggest she is still alive,” said Investigator Adam Wilmos, with Boonville Police.

The FBI got involved in 2022, when Booneville Police asked for their experts to try and find her electronically, tracking her devices.

Despite numerous tips and all of the attempts, she was never found. Now her family would like to know where she is so they can give her a proper burial.
