BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — An Indianapolis man was arrested in Boone County after police found drugs in his car and his one-year-old son in the backseat, police say.

Andre Morrow, 26, had his one-year-old son in the back seat when he was pulled over Oct. 8 on I-465, reports The Lebanon Reporter.

Sheriff’s Deputy Wesley Garst stopped Morrow to give him a ticket but became suspicious when he smelled marijuana coming from the car, court documents say.

Garst searched the car and found 1.8 pounds of marijuana, $884 in cash, a jar of marijuana seed, and a scale. When he looked in the baby bag on the front seat, he found a loaded gun and a second loaded magazine.

Morrow was arrested. The Indiana Dept. of Child Services arranged for his son to be picked up by his grandmother, court papers say.

Morrow is charged with dealing marijuana, child neglect, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without ever having a license. He’s due in court next month.
