SAN FRANCISCO — E-cigarette maker Juul is halting sales of mint-flavored e-cigarettes after two studies released this week showed a dramatic increase in teen use.

The company said in a statement the results of the survey are unacceptable and they must earn the trust of society by working with government officials to combat underage use.

The company in October suspended sales of its other sweet flavors, such as mango, creme, fruit, and cucumber.

Mint represents about 70-percent of Juul’s sales in the U.S.
