GARY, Ind. — Three teenagers arrested as police investigate the death of a woman in Gary.
Adriana Saucedo was found dead inside an abandoned school last week. Police say she was looking to buy a small amount of pot from the boys who came to where she lived, picked her up, and took her to the school.
Instead of moving forward with the transaction, the boys robbed her, shot, and killed her and dumped her body inside the school.
“She was the best aunt I could ever have. She taught me everything. She taught me how to drive,” said Isiah Mangrum. “She taught me to never give up on myself and to always believe in myself.”
The teenagers were arrested a few days later. The boys seventeen, sixteen and fifteen years old.
“Whatever they get, it won’t bring her back. Time, you know, will heal us, but there’s always going to be a piece of us that’s gone,” said Mangrum.
The investigation into Saucedo’s death is ongoing. Prosecutors have not filed any charges yet.
