STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. — State police were able to quickly figure out something wasn’t right in a traffic stop in Steuben County Friday.

Troopers came across a man with a flat tire stopped along the Indiana Toll Road at around 2:30 in the afternoon near Angola. But, Joshua Anthony Lewis-Brown never got that help from the troopers because they ended up arresting him.

It’s they noticed the car’s license plate was made of paper and written in crayon. They ran the car’s VIN number and figured out the car was stolen out of State College, Pennsylvania.

Brown is in jail awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania State Police say the car was stolen from a grocery store in State College. The owner had left the car running in the parking lot to keep it warm while they were inside.
