Evansville Man Arrested

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind.–A man from Evansville is accused of driving a motorcycle while intoxicated more than 100 mph Sunday morning.

Just before 9 am, a trooper says he observed 40-year-old Jacob Nunley of Evansville going 106 mph while weaving in and out of traffic north of the Lloyd Expressway on I-69.

After going north for about six miles, police say Nunley started to slow down and eventually pulled over and stopped. After stopping, police say Nunley was argumentative and wouldn’t follow the trooper’s instructions.

Another trooper got to the scene and helped arrest Nunley. Police say “a strong odor of alcoholic beverage was detected” on Nunley.

A THC vape was also found in Nunley’s pocket. He was transported to the Vanderburgh County Jail.

Nunley has been charged with the following:

-Resisting law enforcement, a level 6 felony

-Reckless driving, a class A misdemeanor

-Operating a vehicle while intoxicated-refusal, class A misdemeanor

-Possession of marijuana, class B misdemeanor
