INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Metro Police have arrested a rideshare driver for his role in the death of a woman found on the near southeast side Monday.
Francisco Valadez, 29, has been charged with the murder of 30-year-old Chanti Dixon. Police believe he gave Dixon a ride shortly before the homicide.
Officers found the woman in the 1800 block of Wagner Street – just north of Raymond Street – Monday, after her family had reported her missing. She had been shot.
WISH-TV reports that Valadez later admitted to shooting her in the head “while he was trying to have sex with her.” He then apparently moved her body from his car, and tried to have sex with it once again.
He was taken to the Marion County Jail Tuesday.
If you ever had Valadez as a rideshare driver, or know anything about this case, IMPD Chief Chris Bailey is asking that you call the IMPD Homicide Office.
