WHITESTOWN, Ind. – Tuesday evening, Boone County law enforcement received a call about a robbery at gunpoint, leading to the arrest of two men in Whitestown.

Officers were called to the area of Gordman Drive around 5:45 p.m. and were told by the victim that the suspects had fled in a black Chevrolet Impala.

Whitestown police were able to locate the car which unsuccessfully fled police after it got stuck in the mud. The two suspects tried to flee on foot, but a K9 stopped them in their tracks.

The suspects were identified as 18-year-old Jawaun Gordon of Indianapolis and a 15-year-old juvenile male from Indianapolis. Police also confirmed the car they were driving was stolen out of Indianapolis.

Gordon is currently being held in the Boone County Jail on charges of armed robbery, battery on a public safety official, and resisting law enforcement. The 15-year-old is being held at the Johnson County Juvenile Detention Center on similar charges.
