ATLANTA – The Indianapolis Colts traded for QB Matt Ryan, multiple sources reported Monday.

The Colts swapped a 2022 third-round pick for the veteran QB.

Ryan spent 14 years with the Falcons throwing for 59,735 yards, 367 TDs and 170 interceptions. He was the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2008, and was voted the league MVP in 2016. Ryan also played in the Super Bowl that year which Atlanta famously lost to the Patriots after leading 28-3 late in the third quarter.

The Colts have been looking for a new QB after trading Carson Wentz at the beginning of the month.  Indy was expected to part ways with Wentz after the team lost their final two games of the regular season and missed the playoffs.
