INDIANAPOLIS–Wednesday night a man in Indianapolis took five hostages and shot an Indianapolis police officer before killing himself. He also shot a woman and a little girl. That woman died Friday.

Donald Williams, 32, was found dead inside the house at 7534 Bayview Club Dr., when cops busted in shortly after 9 Wednesday night. Williams had taken those five hostages and when three kids escaped through a window in front of police, one of the officers took a bullet. His partner applied a tourniquet and both stayed on the scene until backup arrived.

Inside the house still were a 41-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl. Both had been shot and both were critical.

The woman, whose name was not released by police, died, said IMPD on Twitter.

“Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the adult female who was in critical condition has passed away. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will provide her identity. We continue to be hopeful the 11-year-old victim will survive her injuries,” read the Tweet.

The department has not provided a recent update on the officer’s condition.
