INDIANAPOLIS — A Plainfield woman died early Tuesday morning after being hit while walking along Interstate 70 in Indianapolis.
State Police Dispatchers started getting calls at around 12:20 a.m. about a person hit on eastbound I-70 near Harding Street.
Troopers arrived at mile marker 79 and found 23-year-old Taylor Fletcher near the left shoulder. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle who hit Fletcher drove away but was later found by police.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
