CRAWFORD CO., Ind. — An Indiana State Trooper was arrested Thursday for sexual battery and false informing.
State Police arrested Ryan L. Griffith, a four-year veteran of ISP, following an investigation into a sexual battery that happened on Feb. 27.
Griffith, who was off-duty at the time, is accused of touching a woman in an unwanted manner at a home in Crawford County. He is also accused of providing false information to investigators during the investigation by Indiana State Police.
Griffith faces charges of sexual battery and false informing.
He has been placed on administrative leave without pay. Once the criminal proceedings are complete, an internal investigation will be conducted to determine departmental discipline.
