INDIANAPOLIS — Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say a man was arrested for a shooting that injured two people near the northeast side of Indianapolis Thursday.
Officers arrived on Meadows Way, near Adams and East 42nd Streets, and they found a person with gunshot wounds and another person with a graze wound.
One person is in critical condition after they were taken to a hospital, and the other person refused to be treated for their injuries and was released from the scene.
Officers were told the suspect, identified as John Ellis-Strayhorn, ran off. He was arrested, and the gun used in the shooting was recovered.
Ellis-Strayhorn faces preliminary charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery, and additional charges.
