INDIANAPOLIS — A stalled semi was hit by a train Thursday morning on the city’s east side.
Indy Metro Police say no one was hurt in the crash, which happened sometime before 8 a.m. near Massachusetts Ave. and Olney Street.
The truck appeared to be stuck on the train tracks before it was hit. A large fireball erupted after the collision as drums of starch product combusted. The fire was quickly put out.
The Indianapolis Fire Department says CSX is investigating.
