Politico dropped an article on Friday that claims former President Barack Obama was “less than enthusiastic” about endorsing his former VP, Joe Biden, in his 2020 campaign bid for the White House.
It’s a claim that’s dogged Biden since he announced his candidacy in April of 2019, and one that the Obama camp has made no attempt to discredit.
Biden, on the other hand, has done what he can to create the illusion of an alliance and friendship between the two:

“But behind all the BFF bonhomie is a much more complicated story—one fueled by the misgivings the 44th president had about the would-be 46th, the deep hurt still felt among Biden’s allies over how Obama embraced Hillary Clinton as his successor, and a powerful sense of pride that is driving Biden to prove that the former president and many of his aides underestimated the very real strengths of his partner.”
Biden Strengths: hair legs, handy with a shotgun, can do lots of pushups, and makes a wicked grilled cheese sandwich.
Biden Faults: Memory issues, sniffing women without their consent, and he’s absolutely abysmal at ‘Charades!’

“I’m not surprised at all by this article from Politico because Joe Biden does not have an intellect. Biden does not have the ability to stop and think.
“So when Obama says things like ‘Don’t underestimate Biden’s ability to f*** things up,’ yeah, that absolutely happened.
“You saw how Obama wasn’t willing to do anything to help Joe Biden win the nomination. You see how he endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2016 and said, ‘I don’t think there’s ever been someone so qualified to hold this office.’
“Obama on Biden in 2020: ‘I believe Joe has all the qualities we need in a President right now. And I know he will surround himself with good people.’ That’s not a ringing endorsement; that’s an, ‘Oh yeah, this guy.'”
