Attention educators of America: The Hammer and Nigel show does not encourage the use of our comedy bits, satirical documents, or works of parody for the purpose of molding young, impressionable minds. If, however, you should choose to plow ahead anyway with using our show content as an integral part of your daily lesson plans, we’re certainly not going to offer criticism. I mean, who are we to judge your strategy for preparing children for success in the 21st century? You wanna use our Trump SOTU Bingo card as a teaching tool, have at it!
So here’s what happened:
A teacher in Ohio found a copy of last year’s Hammer and Nigel SOTU Bingo card and passed it out to her students – roughly 130 to 145 of them – as part of an assignment that was designed to get the kids more engaged in listening to President Trump’s Tuesday night State of the Union address.
Nothing but a little harmless fun and a great way to get the kids engaged in politics, right? Nope!
It would appear that some of the children’s parents felt that the Hammer and Nigel Bingo Card assignment was an offense on par with the Holocaust of Europe. As a result, a local media outlet sent their top investigative reporter to speak directly with the Superintendent of the Clear Fork Valley Local School District to get to the bottom of this important matter:

We urge calm in the wake of this national emergency. We also urge the parents of the Clear Fork Valley Local School District to lighten up, cut this poor teacher a break, and return to having regular, daily bowel movements at once.
