One Dead in East Side Indy Crash Monday Morning
INDIANAPOLIS — A woman died Monday morning after a crash near the I-70 off-ramp on Post Road, according to police.
IMPD says a red car and a silver pickup collided just before 9 a.m. Officers found both drivers still inside their vehicles when they arrived.
The woman driving the car died at the scene. The man in the pickup was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay. He’s cooperating with the investigation and took a blood test, which is required by law in deadly crashes.
Police believe the woman was coming off I-70 and trying to turn left onto Post Road when the pickup hit her.
Southbound Post Road is shut down near the off-ramp while officers investigate. Traffic on I-70 is not affected.
