Let’s start with the so-called “facts”:

From WISH-TV:

The Lebanon chief of police has been removed from office and will serve the department in the patrol division after a comment he made on Facebook in 2017 resurfaced, the department said Friday via social media.

Tyson Warmoth became chief of Lebanon Police Department in 2016 after 20 years at the department in a variety of roles. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, according to the Lebanon Police Department website.

According to a statement from Warmoth on the department’s Facebook page, he “made a crude and offensive comment in jest” on his adult son’s personal Facebook page in February 2017, which was recently posted as an image on someone else’s personal Facebook page.

Now let’s talk reality with Hammer and Nigel:

Nigel:

“For somebody to pull up something from 2017 is ridiculous. It wasn’t anything racist. From what I’ve seen, it was certainly lewd, but this is a little politically correct for me to force his removal as Chief of Police.”

Hammer:

“And from all accounts, this now former Chief of Police sounds like a guy who does everything right – a lot of stuff around the community. And he also was the one who fired the shot that took down the shooter of Deputy Jacob Pickett about a year ago.

So if you live in Lebanon, there has to be more to this, because this reeks of small town politics. I know it when I see it. This guy made a few ‘mom jokes’ and gets demoted, his whole career thrown out the window? This reeks of small town politics and whoever did this is a weasel.”
