Clark Named All-Star Captain, Game Set for Indy

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is now a WNBA All-Star captain. The league and Fever made it official Sunday. She’ll lead a team in the July 19 game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Clark led all players in voting with over 1.2 million. It’s her second All-Star selection, but her first time as captain.
She’ll draft her team alongside Lynx star Napheesa Collier during the July 8 draft on ESPN. The rest of the starters will be announced Monday.
Despite a groin injury that has sidelined her for seven games, Clark is averaging 18 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds. She has recorded four double-doubles and is the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 350 assists and 250 rebounds.
The Fever are 8–8 heading into a tough stretch with games against the Lynx on Tuesday, the Aces on Thursday, and the Sparks on Saturday.
