Fatal Semi Crash in Hendricks County on I-74

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind.–A man died in a semi tanker crash that happened Wednesday afternoon in Hendricks County.
“Preliminary investigation indicates a semi tanker truck, occupied only by the male driver, was traveling eastbound on I-74, when it ran off the right side of the roadway and rolled,” said Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Jeffrey Hughes.
Hughes says when they arrived, the driver did not have a pulse.
“The victim was transported from the crash scene to Hendricks Regional Hospital but was later pronounced dead. It is unclear at this time if the victim had a medical event prior to the crash or if his death resulted from injuries sustained in the crash itself,” said Hughes.
Hughes says they are trying to figure out what caused the crash. If you have anything that might be helpful, you’re urged to call the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office.
