NWS: Severe Weather Past, Upcoming Conditions

STATEWIDE — Tornados and floods have affected Indiana this past week.
Earl Breon is a forecaster with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis. He talks about how Indiana dealt with these conditions.
“There was widespread moderate to major flooding. Shelbyville is now projected to approach record in potentially exceed record flooding levels in the city,” Breon says.
Shelbyville has received a lot of flooding, and on Friday, the city issued an evacuation order.
“So far, they have 5.24 inches,” Breon says.
Breon says sunny skies are expected Monday with warmer temperatures than today, and then Tuesday is supposed to get colder.
“Monday’s highs are in the mid-50’s. On Monday night, lows are expected in the mid-20’s to around 30,” Breon says. “Tuesday’s highs are expected to be in the mid-40’s, getting down to around 30 again Tuesday night.”
Breon says Wednesday’s temperatures are expected to be mild in the mid-50’s with lows in the mid-40’s.
“Then, on Thursday and Friday through Saturday, highs in the mid-50’s to around 60 are expected with lows sitting around 40,” Breon says.
