Violence in the city of Indianapolis was the focus of national headlines again following a massive fight that took place at Circle Center Mall on Black Friday.

A video posted to Facebook showed a fight in the food court in which two teens repeatedly punched a victim. A second video revealed a chair being thrown while a crowd of people looked on, capturing the violence on their phones.

The massive fight eventually spilled out into the streets of downtown Indianapolis.

Police arrested several minors, including a 14-year-old, who is accused of battery against an officer, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement, according to a police report.

Friday’s brawl is reminiscent of a violent incident that occurred at Circle Center mall in September, which led to a shooting that wounded six victims and injured several others.

Reverend Charles Harrison of the Indy Ten Points Coalition joined the Hammer and Nigel show Monday afternoon to discuss what residents and city leaders must do to counter Indy’s ongoing problems with violent crime. Click below to hear that interview in full.
