MADISON COUNTY, Ind. — A farming semi and school bus crashed into each other, which injured two people in Madison County.
This happened Monday afternoon around 2:30 at the intersection of East 1550 North and County Road 300 East, which is east of Summitville.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Department says a 19-year-old was driving a farming semi, going south on 300 East. They say he failed to stop at a stop sign, and he crashed into a 35-year-old driving a school bus that was going west on 1550 North.
Authorities say no children were on the bus at the time of the crash, but both drivers were injured.
Both drivers were taken to a hospital in Anderson, and the man in a semi was later airlifted to a hospital in Indianapolis. Police say the man in a semi was stable, and the man in a bus sustained minor injuries.
The sheriff’s office is investigating.
