Tony is joined by Ed Morrissey of HotAir.com to talk about J.B. Pritzker’s bloated Medicaid program for non-citizens.

Tony Katz:

The interesting story over there at hotair.com. About JB Pritzker Now JB Pritzker I I don’t think I’m a guy who should sit there and discuss other people’s size issues. No, no, no, not, not, not like that. JB Pritzker is just a very, very obese guy. I’m not. I wasn’t talking about size issues, but when JB Pritzker goes out there and says that Robert F Kennedy Junior is dangerous, he’s going to make your kids unhealthy. People just take a picture of JB Pritzker and go come on. That’s the whole argument right there. Tony Katz. Tony Katz today, good to be with you. Ed Morrissey joins me right now from hotair.com. This is different. This is about health insurance in the state of Illinois. And for a guy who has made billions of dollars, it doesn’t seem to equate. And he doesn’t understand that the system that they want to tell us we need more of, which is at any level of government run health care, doesn’t work. What’s the latest here that you have over at hotair.com?

Ed Morrissey:

So, this is from the Chicago Tribune, which did a nice job of reporting on auditor findings in this health care program that Pritzker set up in 2020 that was to cover, uh, immigrants who were senior aged 65 or older who couldn’t be covered under Medicaid. Because there’s some, you know, there, there’s definitely some qualifications that you have to go through and immigrants under certain circumstances don’t qualify for Medicaid and because it was the pandemic. Other states were considering this as well and because seniors were an at-risk population, Pritzker and Illinois decided to create a Medicaid like program. But simply with the state didn’t have any federal involvement. The state was going to pay for it, and it was going to be limited, and it was only going to cost, you know, a few $100 million and that sort of thing. As soon as they got this thing in place, they started expanding it and now it’s covering all sorts of different kinds of immigrants 42 years and above. I’m not sure why they’re covering 42-year-old immigrants. That’s not an at-risk population and the pandemics over by the way.

Tony and Ed also talk about who was involved in the Epstein files. Later, they talk about consumer confidence being down in the media.
