House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) accused President Trump of appearing “a little bit sedated” during his State of the Union address earlier this week when she extended her hand to shake.

“It was also an act of kindness because he looked to me like he was a little bit sedated,” Pelosi said at her weekly press conference Thursday morning. “He looked that way last year, too. But that was that. He didn’t want to shake hands? That meant nothing to me.”

“The More Pelosi Doesn’t Know”: The Speaker broke protocol by extending her “hand of friendship.”

Pelosi tore the President’s speech in half upon the conclusion of Trump’s address, a move that drew harsh condemnation from conservatives.

When pressed on the act Thursday, the Speaker snapped that she doesn’t need “lessons about dignity” from anyone, but especially not from the President.

“It was necessary to get the attention of the American people to say, ‘This is not true, and this is how it affects you,’” Pelosi said. “And I don’t need any lessons from anybody — especially the president of the United States — about dignity.”

WIBC host Tony Katz, delivering remarks during Thursday afternoon’s broadcast of “Tony Katz Today,” called Speaker Pelosi “a broken woman.” Click the link below to hear Tony’s full commentary.
