Arrest in Homicide Investigation

LAWRENCE, Ind. — Police arrested a man in a homicide case.
Deputy Police Chief, Travis Cline, says the man, named Eliezer Suarez, killed one person at Don Marcos, which is near North Post Road. It happened late Sunday around 8:30.
“So we had an officer who was driving on Post Road. That officer hears shots being fired, looks over where the shots were coming from, sees people running in the parking lot, and sees the flash of the gun,” Cline says.
Officers say many people pointed out Suarez tried to run off in his car, but then he was stopped by police.
“He was able to box that vehicle in,” Cline says.
Officers say the driver was Suarez, and then they took him into custody for the shooting.
