INDIANAPOLIS–The Indiana Pacers will get Miami Heat center and former Indiana University basketball player Thomas Bryant in a trade.

The Pacers are trading a future second-round draft pick to Miami to get Bryant.

At 6’10”, Bryant is in his 8th NBA season averaging 4 points and 3 rebounds in 11 minutes per game this season.

Bryant was drafted into the NBA by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017. He’s also played for the Washington Wizards, and Denver Nuggets. He was on the Denver Nugget team that won the NBA title in 2023.

The Pacers went to the trade market after losing two players on the bench in their frontcourt. Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman both suffered torn achilles tendons.
