NOBLESVILLE, IND –All Noblesville schools canceled classes Tuesday after a social media threat was made against East Middle School.
Superintendent Daniel Hile said law enforcement informed the district early Tuesday morning about the threat. While officials don’t believe it’s credible, they are taking it seriously and canceled school out of caution. It will not be an e-learning day.
Hile said the district is working with law enforcement to investigate the threat and ensure the safety of all schools. Safety remains the district’s top priority.
This comes more than six years after a shooting at Noblesville West Middle School, where a 13-year-old injured a student and a teacher. The shooter, now 19, was released from juvenile detention in October 2023.
