Approximately 60 million households tuned in to watch a prime-time boxing match featuring Jake Paul and Mike Tyson on Friday evening, according to Netflix’s announcement over the weekend.
The highlight of the event reached a peak of 65 million simultaneous streams, surpassing the 50 million households worldwide who tuned in live for the co-main event between Serrano and Taylor by 10 million.
The fight was by far the most-watched live event of the weekend, fueled by months of promotion from both the boxers and Netflix.

However, its viewership fell slightly short of the presidential debate between President-elect Trump and Vice President Harris, which drew approximately 67 million viewers across broadcast and cable networks.
During the live stream, some viewers expressed frustration on social media over technical glitches and buffering issues.
The Tyson vs. Paul bout, ultimately won by the younger Paul in a decision, marked a significant night for Netflix, which has invested heavily in live events, including sports and comedy specials.
Netflix will face another major challenge this holiday season, as it gears up to stream two NFL games on Christmas Day.
