SPEEDWAY, Ind. — The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is announcing more details for the upcoming 2025 calendar of events it has planned.
As always, renewals for the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500 have been going on since early June of 2024. As of today, tickets are now on sale for the race of those that weren’t renewed plus the remaining tickets for the race.
“Renewals just continue to get better and better,” said IMS president Doug Boles. “Our renewals have been the best renewals that we’ve ever had. Frankly, even better than we did after 2016 for the 100th running.”
Fans can now go to the IMS website and begin purchasing tickets for the 109th running of the race. They can also get tickets for the full slate of other events they have planned such as the Sonsio Grand Prix in two weekends prior to the Indianapolis 500.
Boles said they will be bringing back camping in the infield for the weekend of the Grand Prix.
“For NASCAR you can do that and for the IMSA races as well, so we thought ‘You know what, let’s bring it back for the Month of May’,” Boles said. “So we will be offering some limited camping inside the race track.”
The camping does not extend to Indy 500 qualifying and race weekend.
Boles said they are also excited to have the Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational back the weekend of June 14th. This event will see amateur owners of vintage cars come racing on the road course at IMS.
Of course, this is sandwiched in between the ‘500’ and Brickyard weekend, which will be returning to the last weekend of July. Boles is optimistic that ticket sales will continue to grow for the Brickyard 400 as it made its return to the IMS oval for the first time in a few years.
Fans can then expect IMSA Sportscars to return in mid-September and then Intercontinental GT Indianapolis 8 Hour to close out the season in October.
As a bonus, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum is due to be opened back up by the time the Month of May roles back around.
“It’s on time,” Boles said of the project. “In fact, we’re hoping that it may open a little bit early as we start getting into Q2 of 2025.”
Tickets are now available for all these events on the IMS website. Dates for the USAC DriveToSurvive BC39 are due to be released at a later date. It’s said the track and USAC are in talks about finding a new date for the event.
