INDIANAPOLIS – Ready for takeoff! Indiana is getting a direct link to Europe again. Starting next May, Aer Lingus will offer non-stop flights from Indianapolis to Dublin, reviving a connection that ended during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the partnership that made this possible,” said Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb in a message from Ireland. He credited the Indianapolis Airport Authority, Aer Lingus, the IEDC, and local business leaders for the new route.
The year-round service will run four times a week—Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday—taking a short break between January and February.
“This Irish connection is especially important since Marion County is home to more Ireland-based businesses than anywhere else in the region,” added Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett.
Mario Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority, emphasized the economic impact. “We send $750 million in goods to Ireland but bring in $20.8 billion. This flight isn’t just about convenience; it reflects the strong business ties between Indiana and Europe.”
The first flight from Indianapolis to Dublin departs May 3, 2025.
