GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. — Earlier this week, the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office announced that it was searching for a missing Patoka woman. Now, her husband has been arrested for murder.
Officers previously said Kayla Flaherty may have been driving to Vincennes Thursday in a “light blue 2019 Toyota Highlander.” They were asking anyone with information on her disappearance to call 9-1-1.
Daniel Flaherty had apparently first reported that his wife was missing Thursday night.
But, police recently revealed that Daniel Flaherty was taken to the Gibson County Jail Friday night. They did not provide any additional information about Kayla Flaherty, but they said her husband’s arrest connects to an “extensive investigation.”
The Sheriff’s Office notes, “We need to weigh multiple things as we proceed further with this investigation.”
