INDIANAPOLIS — In a unanimous decision, rookie Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever has been named Associated Press Rookie of the Year.

Clark, who’s already named to the AP All-WNBA First Team and All-Rookie Team, received the Rookie of the Year honor Sunday before the Fever’s game against the Connecticut Sun.

Clark has set the sports world on fire since coming to Indiana from Iowa. She holds several records in the WNBA and has set attendance and television ratings records since dawning the Fever jersey. Clark joins Aliyah Boston as the only Indiana Fever players to receive the AP Rookie of the Year award.

The Fever are back in the WNBA playoffs for the first time in several years as round one against the Sun begins at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon.
