The pressure of working for the worst president in American history is clearly taking a toll on White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
The queen of passive-aggressive retorts lashed out Tuesday when confronted about Biden’s $3.5 trillion “Build Back Better” plan, which the White House continues to insist has a cost of $0 when factoring in the president’s intended tax hikes.
“Does the President still believe that Build Back Better will not add a dime to the national debt?” a reporter asked the press secretary.
“Correct. It won’t,” replied Psaki.
“Why should Americans believe that?” the reporter pressed.
“Because it won’t” Psaki shot back.
Ah, the old “because I said so” answer. A great tactic with children inquiring why they can’t eat candy for dinner. Less effective, however, when attempting to convince Americans that it’s necessary to spend $3.5 trillion of their tax dollars to restart an economy that was booming under the policies of the previous president.
