ANDERSON, Ind. — Murder charges for a man accused of shooting and killing another man who told him to slow down while driving.

Police say Christian Cox was standing outside his house with his girlfriend talking to their landlord when Aundray Ivy, Jr came driving by at a high rate of speed.

Cox yelled at Ivy to slow down because his daughter was in the front yard playing. Ivy drove away onto another road but soon after came back down past Cox’s house.

Cox and Ivy exchanged words, according to a statement to police from the girlfriend, and then several gunshots were fired.

Cox was fatally wounded and died at Acesnion St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

According to police, witnesses followed Ivy away from the scene and they called the police when he got home. Police responded and found a gun in a laundry hamper that they believe was used to shoot Cox.

Ivy was arrested and taken to jail.
